Qualifications. Graduate degree: Biological Sciences, 1995, Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. Additional studies: University of Costa Rica, mycology & electron microscopy, 2002; National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian Institute), Washington DC, botanical techniques.

Current position. PhD student, supervisor Prof. M. Piepenbring, J.W. Goethe University, Frankfurt-am-Maine.

Expertise. Mycology, electron microscopy. Collaborator in the Basidiomycetes of the Greater Antilles project.

Previous achievements. Developed an extensive working method for the management of fungi and herbal collections (JBSD, National Botanic Garden of Santo Domingo). Co-organizer of the Symposium Fungal Diversity in the Caribbean Region (IX Latin-American Botanical Congress).
