Qualifications. Graduate degree: Agronomy, 1978, Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro. MSc: Pure & Applied Taxonomy, 1986, University of Reading - International Mycological Institute (now CABI). PhD: Botany, University of Reading - International Mycological Institute (now CABI).
Current position. Head of the Plant Clinic of the Plant Pathology Department, since 1998.
Expertise. Biological control of weeds with plant pathogens, mycology.
Teaching. Biological control of weeds and diseases; fungal pathogens of plants; plant disease diagnosis and control; plant pathology; mycology; plant pathology seminars; supervision of graduate research students in their MS and PhD research, and of undergraduates in research projects.
