Adelia ricinella L.

Tree up to 10 m or bush; branches with off-white bark, hairless; leaves oblong to obovate, rounded, obtuse to pointed at the apex, base elongated; male flowers with short pedicel, sepals 2-3 mm, 8-15 stamens on a central projection; female pedicels 1-5 cm, ovary tomentous, disc pubescent; capsule 3-lobed, 6-8 mm; seeds brown, globose.

Common names: jía, jía blanca.
