Cecropia peltata L.

Tree up to 15 m; leaves almost orbicular, 30-50 cm diameter, generally 7-9-lobed, dark green and scabrous on the upper side, white and tomentous on the underside; spathe 6 cm; masculine floral spikes 4 cm, numerous; 2-6 feminine spikes attached.

Common names: yagruma, yagruma hembra.
