Cedrela odorata L.

Tree of medium to large size, up to 20 m; leaves 3-6 cm long; petiole and rhachis generally hairless; 10-30 or more leaflets, generally obliquely opposite, lanceolate, 7-15 cm long, 1.5-4.5 cm wide, long and acuminate at apex, pointed or slightly rounded and not equilateral at base, with petiolules; inflorescence 2-3.5 cm; branches pauciflorous, hairless or slightly pubescent; pedicels 1-2 mm; calyx with pointed lobes; petals oblong, 5-6 mm, with velvety hair; ovary elongated gradually to narrow style; capsule elliptic-oblong, 4 cm; seeds oblong to elliptic-oblong, 12-20 mm long, 5-6 mm wide.
