Dicranopteris pectinata (Willd.) Underw.

Rhizome 3-5 mm diameter, light brown, scabrous, covered with many chestnut-coloured hairs, falling with time; primary lateral branches formed in several opposite pairs, with stipules between bifurcations, these repeated and unequal, scondary axiles hairless and flexible; pinnas variable, 10-25 cm long, 1.5-6 cm wide, glaucous and glabrous on underside, occasionally with stellate hairs on this side, veins bifurcating 3-5 times; sori often numerous or sometimes missing; sori with up to 15 sporangia lacking paraphyses.
