Epidendrum secundum Jacq.

Stems flat, sharp-edged, up to 60 cm; leaves distichous, coriaceous, oblong to lanceolate, 5-12 cm long, 1-5 cm wide; flowers green-brown, grouped in umbelliform terminal inflorescence separated from end of stems by long peduncle of 20-35 cm; sepals oblong, pointed, 8 mm; petals spathe-like, 7 mm; labellum heart or kidney shaped, 3-lobed, middle lobe shorter.
