Bush about 2 m, minor branches slightly pubescent; leaves oblong to oblong-lanceolate, up to 2.5 cm, pointed at apex, obtuse at base; lateral veins not prominent, upperside tuberculated, underside spotted; flowers solitary to few, directly attached or almost; calyx with dense white hairs, lobes triangular, acuminate, 2-2.5 mm.

Common name: pimienta.
