Hypericum styphellioides A. Rich.

Small bush up to 1.5 m; leaves more or less tightly forming 4 lines as long as the stem, oblong-lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, elongated at both ends, 6-20 mm, pointed at apex, sometimes very coriaceous; flowers terminal on branches, 3-5 cm diameter, yellow; sepals lanceolate, pointed, ridged, 5-8 mm; capsule 5-valved, styles persistent, free, 5 mm.

Common name: hierba de verraco.

Species endemic, growing in Pinares and Sabanas.
