Rhipsalis baccifera (Mill.) Stearn

Hanging, on trees and rocks, usually branching thickly, up to 4 m or more, cylindrical stem, divaricate or branches whorled, segments 4-8 cm, 2-6 mm diameter; young areoles with varied hairy bristles, adults with small hairs and a bristle; flowers solitary; sepals 2-4, petals 4-6, off-white, 2-4 mm; stamens 9-12; berry globous-ovoid, white, 6-4 mm, fleshy, juice viscous, transparent; seeds black, 1 mm.

Common name: disciplinilla.
