Spondias mombin L.

Tree as high as 20 m or more; trunk 60 cm diameter; bark earthy-grey, even with verticle fissures; leaflets in 5-9 pairs, with petioles, oblong or ovate-oblong, base very oblique, hairless or slightly pubescent on veins; flowers fragrant, white, in big panicles; petals 3 mm; fruit ovoid, yellow, commonly 3-4 cm, endocarp thick and woody.

Common names: ciruela amarilla, jobo, jobo hembra.
