Terminalia neglecta Bisse

Bush or tree up to 10 m, canopy elongated, cylindrical; leaves obovate, 3-6 cm long, 2-4 cm wide; apex rounded, sometimes apiculate; base pointed, elongated at the petiole; margin plane or lightly curved back; veins flat on the upper surface, prominent on the underside, purple, hirsute when young, later glabrous on both faces; inflorescence terminal, racemous; peduncle, rhachis, and calyx covered with a brown tomentum; dry fruit with 2 wings 10-13 mm long, 25-30 mm wide.

Endemic species growing in dry woods, the Mogotes, and dry sclerophyllous low forest.
