Weather permitting, there will be a field excursion to the North York Moors National Park, including open heathland, upland meadows, freshwater streams, and broadleaf and conifer woodland.

The infrastructure needed for fungal conservation. Dr Greg Mueller, leader of the IUCN Specialist Group for basidiomycetes - mushrooms, puffballs and relatives, will chair this session which examines what infrastructure currently exists for fungal conservation, and asks what changes are needed so that it can function more effectively. Presentations will be made for every inhabited continent, together with short oral reports about Antarctica and the Oceans read out by the Chair.
